Every camera has its place and the PXW-X70 is a comsumer camera with professional features but its main appeal is to shoot IR night vision in a broadcast quality resolution and bitrates. As standard the PXW-X70 is an HD camera however with a Sony 4K licence it is fully capabe of shooting UHD 4k with its 1.0 inch Exmor sensor. All of our PXW-X70s have the 4k licence.

The PXW-X70 is packed with all the latest network functions, from QoS Streaming for high quality of transmission when streaming to the PWS-100RX1 in Network Client Mode, to direct streaming using Ustream, with no need for a separate PC setup when using version 3.0 or higher firmware. The camcorder also provides Wi-Fi/NFC (Near Field Communication) with Content Browser Mobile™ software.

Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T lens

Compact, lightweight XDCAM camcorder packed with adaptable professional functions
The PXW-X70 weighs less than 1.4kg, including the XLR handle unit, battery (NP-FV70), lens hood and large eye-cup. It offers professional interfaces such as 3G-SDI and HDMI output connectors plus an XLR x2 handle unit with zoom lever. Other professional features include a manual lens ring that can intuitively control zoom and focus, ergonomic palm grip with large zoom lever, two SD memory card slots for backup, simultaneous and relay recording, and a three-level switchable ND filter.
